Strong Results For Asian Arts In Locatis January Sale
Two Tibetan Inlaid Silver Goose Form Teapots Went For $1,900
February 18, 2022
Locati LLCs January online-only sale concluded on Jan. 16. Items from a wide range of categories were offered, with particularly strong results achieved for Asian arts, representing seven of the sales top ten selling lots. The results for Asian decorative arts were strong, said co-owner Michael Locati. We experienced lively bidding on several outstanding Chinese cloisonne objects and were excited to see two unusual gilt silver and jade handles more than triple their high estimate, eventually selling for $3,500. The company recently moved operations into a larger facility. We are excited to be bringing our services to Bucks County in a newly renovated 6,000-square-foot building, continued Locati. We plan to expand our services to include a live element to the auction in the coming months. We hope to be a must-visit destination for antiques in Bucks County. Locatis February sale, with bidding open on LiveAuctioneers and Invaluable, runs until Sunday, Feb. 20. Bidders are encouraged to preview between Feb. 14 and 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The new location is at 761 Durham Road, Pineville, Pa. Additionally, Locati will again begin hosting free appraisal events on the second Saturday of each month. For further information, call 215-619-2873 or visit www.locatillc.com.
