Locati To Offer Diverse Estate Material From Antique Corkscrew Collection To Japanese Woodblock Prints
Cubist Still Life Painting By Russian/French Artist Elisabeth Epstein-Hefter Among Expected Stars
February 12, 2021
Locati LLCs February online auction offers an eclectic and interesting selection of antiques and fine art from a variety of local estates and collections from Pennsylvania and New Jersey. This sale began Feb. 1 and ends Monday, Feb. 15. We have some great lots in February, commented Michael Locati, co-owner of Locati LLC. One of my favorite pieces of art (in the sale) is a great cubist still life by the Russian/French artist Elisabeth Epstein-Hefter. The Elisabeth Epstein-Hefter (1879-1956) oil-on-canvas painting is estimated between $4,000 to $6,000, an Istvan Ban (1922-84) Modernist tapestry is estimated at $800 to $1,200, and a large Japanese bronze figure of Kannon is projected to bring between $500 to $700. Another interesting lot to look for is a large, ca. 1960 tapestry by the Hungarian artist Istvan Ban, said Locati. There are also quite a bit of Chinese and Asian pieces in the auction, and we continue to offer Japanese woodblock prints from a Delaware collection. In lieu of COVID 19 precautions, Locati will not be holding a live preview; however, interested bidders are encouraged to contact Locati to ask questions or request additional information if needed. Locati further commented, There is a little of everything in the February sale: furniture, glass, silver and even a corkscrew collection.
