Locati Sells Leale Family Archive Totaling $20,900

Locati LLC, located in the heart of Bucks County, Pa., presented its March auction that ended on the 19th. Nearly 500 lots were offered spanning a wide range of periods and categories. Of particular note were various lots of rare ephemera and other articles related to Dr. Charles A. Leales account of Friday, April 14, 1865. All lots at Locati LLC start at the reserve price. The March auction had a 90 percent sell-through rate. Locati also welcomed more than 100 new bidders this past sale and encourages all bidders to preview if interested. Prices do not include buyers premium. Multiple Leale family lots sold for a total of $20,900. Two bronze figures brought $5,400. A Continental School 17th century painting on glass went for $4,100, and a gilt bronze figure of Vajrapani hammered for $2,300. Locatis April online-only auction will run from April 2 to 16. Bidding is open on LiveAuctioneers, Invaluable, Bidsquare, and Bidspirit. Bidders may visit the companys Pineville, Pa., auction facility from April 10 to 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to preview.
